Studio 2B - Teen Girl Scouts

Teen Girl Scouts are ages 11-17 and in 7 - 12 grades. The younger girls ages 11-14, aka "Cadettes" work on interesting projects that match their interests and talents. They take on more responsibility for their activities and learn to set goals. These girls can participate in national trips call "Destinations" and serve on the Council Board of Directors. These girls can work with younger Girl Scouts and they can also earn the second highest award in Girl Scouting, the Silver Award.

The older teenage girls, ages 14-17, aka "Seniors" are responsible for planning their own activities with minimal adult supervision. They are learning to serve as role models for younger girls and they can also earn the highest award in Girl Scouting, the Gold Award.

"Girl Scouting has helped me gain a lot of vital characteristics. I am very outgoing which I know can be attributed to my years as a Girl Scout."

"I want to encourage any Brownie or Junior aged Girl Scout to either get started or stay in scouting. I recently returned from a trip to London - I know that opportunity would not have been possible without Girl Scouts."
